This is my hat. You may notice that it is a bobble hat (and is therefore particularly awesome).

I especially like bobble hats. Perhaps I feel the addition of a the purely aesthetic feature stands out against my otherwise utilitarian attire. Perhaps the bobble serves to fulfil my desire to feel unique in the sea of more boring head wear, worn throughout the winter. Whatever the case, despite my irrational love of bobble hats, they have a failing that blemishes their otherwise perfect embodiment.

You can’t wear the damn things with a hood. It turns out that it rains a lot in Britain (who knew) and the hood is often required. It either doesn’t fit over the bobble or pushes it down onto the (embarrassing lack of) hair right on the top of my head.

But I have a solution. A creation of ingenious nature that will transform your bobble hat into the head-wear wonder that it should always have been. Introducing…

The removable bobble. Engineered with precision to support all your cranial covering needs, the removable bobble is fastened down by a set of buttons to the top of the hat. While secure in all its bobbly glory, when required, the top can be removed and stored safely in a pocket where you probably wont forget it. This prototype, manufactured in house by my lovely partner is now my most prized possession.
