Towel hooks

Moved into a new room and needed a place to hang my towel and dressing gown.

Enter the 3D Printer:

I designed these in Solidwords using surfaces rather than solids. To get the shape I desired the part had to be printed with supports however these connected on the back side of the hook where it cannot be easily seen and actually adds some texture to grip whatever it’s holding.

The hooks are mounted using a dovetail style mount. The dovetail is tapered so that the fit will be snug yet easily assembled regardless of the tolerance accuracy from the printer. (Shout out to Sainsburys basics hairspray making an appearance, my bed adhesion of choice)
