For me the Tango 2 is near to the perfect radio. This is most certainly a matter of personal preference but it is the most comfortable radio by far that I’ve held (surprising given I’m a pincher), it’s small and neat, the gimbles are full size and the battery life is great plus the ability to charge via USB-C from a battery bank.

While it does have a few flaws: no trainer port, no trim switches, difficult to reach SD card, the biggest disadvantage I and likely most people saw was that it was crossfire only.

For the most part, having switched to crossfire, I’m all in, no mater what model. But for RC based projects and the odd whoop the ability to plug in a multi-protocol module would take it to the next level.

While its a bit of a pain to do the mod yourself, in my opinion its well worth it but one thing I find frustrating is the lack of a cover. To keep the radio slim I plan on leaving the module off most of the time but this leaves exposed pins and harsh edges. All of which is a pretty long explanation to say “I made a cover”. Enjoy.
